Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, right next to El Día De Los Muertos. It is a grand display of character, decoration, and macabre that I never get tired of and look forward to every year. One day a year, masses and masses of people put on elaborate displays, and put on cosplays that makes traveling down the road to the grocery store look like I'm in another world entirely.
October's art competition had many entries, not just on twitter, but people entered on Instagram this time too. Selecting winners this time around was a chore indeed, as the CEO of Jams2blues Creations LLC, and head curator Anna Lee had her hands full with hard decisions. We love these creations so much and am proud to display them in our gallery.
Being such an amazing fan of the Macabre, Surrealism, and Horror I could see the influence from many artists through the competition from the likes of H.R. Giger, to Fuseli, and Goya. Art today has evolved so much, and that capturing the mood of a particular aesthetic such as Halloween will always be entertaining.
November's art competition is live! Anything goes, and I have moved the competition to a new page specifically for my intensely large NFT collection, and to exhibit my proudest of purchases to the world:
